In this article you will be told the basic (common ”How-To”) way of finding your niche market. Now I understand that for most, it is rather bland. Nothing to get very excited about. However, I believe it is a great way to start. This is for the people who has just been introduced to the word “niche marketing” and sometimes it only takes just the basics to get things done.
Ok, onto to it..
Start with an interest you enjoy. It will be difficult to find any activities from which you can’t construct a business with. By finding an interest that you will appreciate, it will be easier to do it daily. It will fell less drawn-out.
If you need more ideas you can read your news, magazines, and so forth.
Use your experiences and the lessons you learned. For example if you are a carpenter you can begin a niche related to carpentry. Maybe you can sell a “How To Guide” about building a foundation. Or maybe you can offer other services about carpentry.
Tune into your skills. Everyone has skills within them. Think it through and ask family and friends to see what skills you posses. Make a list of 25 items. Take that list place them in the order of what interest you the most. Research keywords in major search engines like Google, MSN, Yahoo, and Overture. Then check the number of searches returned and you will find out how many competitors there are. These numbers represent how many people that will compete with you.
Find a subject that is essential in demand but short in the suppliers. You will have better chances of making money using this formula. Reevaluate your list again and place a subject that will best suit your niche market.
