I hate reality TV shows, but there is an interesting one called The Next Internet Millionaire hosted by Joel Comm. Mr. Comm is what we call an Internet guru, apparently he has made millions by Internet marketing. He is offering his services to 12 contestants/cast. It is in the style of the reality TV show Survivor. Except the challenges are based on projects given my Mr. Comm. At the end of the episode, a cast member(s) can be sent home.
I disregard all the hype, including the suspense building background music (if you call it that). What I really do is have my notebook, pen, and ears open. Jotting down important information that can potentially be beneficially for me. For example in episode 2, one of the activities present was Simpleology.
Simpleology is founded by Mark Joyner, with the motto of “The Simple Science of Getting What You Want.” Basically, using simple methods that you can do to get what you want. To get where you where you want to go. You can sign up for a FREE daily dose of this at his site – Click Here
From the simple activity of the low line, I realized where my priorities are and how they affect my goal of marketing online. How much my attitude and actions plays a major factor.
The low line is to teach you the fastest way of getting somewhere is by a straight line. So grab a piece of paper. Draw a dot on the left side and then draw another dot on the right side. Write down your goal and then write down your activities for the day. For each major action you do towards your goal you draw a straight line. For each major action you do away from your goal you draw a low line. How low depends on how far down it is away from your goal.
At the end you will have what looks like a line graph. The lower your line, the further you are away from your goal. Remembering that the fastest way of getting somewhere is by a straight line.
Overall, I will continue to watch this show as long as I am able to learn from it. No matter how small or great. The cast members are fun and interesting to watch due to their personalities and experiences. Forget the hype and just filter what you need from it.
